It's a....

GIRL!!! We're having a beautiful, very active baby girl! The ultrasound was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. To see God's work that He is still perfecting every day on a screen right in front of me was breath-taking!

The ultrasound technician said she hadn't seen a baby that active in a long time! Apparently we're going to need help keeping up with this little one! So, everyone keeps asking us if we have though of names yet. We decided that because we found out that we were having a girl on Cinco de Mayo that we would give her a Mexican name in honor of the holiday. Guadeloupe it is!! It is just a joke but we had the technician laughing pretty hard when we told her that. We are very excited to be expecting a precious baby girl. I think I mentally had myself prepared for a little boy and all the sporting activities that went along with a boy, but I keep telling myself that we can have a very athletic little girl, if she so chooses that. Right now I am trying to decide what theme I want to go with in her room now that I can actually start thinking about that. It is a tough decision! I have looked at tons of different ideas and everything is just so darn cute!

Anyway, have I said how amazing my husband is before? Because he is pretty darn amazing. This past weekend was our 5 year anniversary and he surprised me with a trip back to Islamorada (an island in the Keys). We went back to the same resort we went to for our honeymoon. It was such a relaxing and much needed trip. I was so thankful to get to spend time with my hubby and only my hubby. We limited our cell phone usage, except for emergencies, so that we could truly focus on each other. We had a blast.. Matt got to go fishing while I spend some time at the spa and relaxed by the pool. We also went kayaking and bike riding and laid out on the beach. I was so incredibly sad to come back and have to get back into the grind of life but I certainly do cherish the times we get to spend together.

Just a thought... Just when you start to get into the grind of life and the mundane routine of it all, we get comfortable and sometimes forget to thank God for His awesome works. Then He makes Himself so incredibly clear with his day to day miracles. Don't forget to thank God every day for what you have and what you don't. He is amazing and will reveal Himself to you when you least expect it!

I will post pictures of the ultrasound later when Matt can show me how. I am sure I could figure it out but I would prefer not to break anything!
